Services

Infectious diseases, also referred to as communicable diseases, occur when an organism, such as a virus, bacterium, fungi or parasite, invades your body. While many micro organisms colonize in our bodies and are usually harmless or sometimes helpful, they can sometimes cause disease.

Care for Those With Weakened Immune Systems

We also care for people with underlying immunological disorders who have a hard time fighting illnesses and infections on their own, including treatment of individuals with weakened immune systems, including malignant neutropenia and HIV/AIDS.

Diagnosis and Treatment of Infectious Diseases

Dr. Klein may order lab work or imaging scans to help determine what’s causing your symptoms. Once she determines what type of germ is causing your illness Dr. Klein will work with you to create a plan that puts a stop to the infection and prevents a more serious disease from occurring.
